I thought the hogs would like a change to the normal routine so I created a popup assault course for an evening or two. . . . .
Warm weekend in Claygate
It was a warm weekend in York. The resident hog in 12a decided to sprawl out to try and keep cool and just like some of us humans, a warm day can often lead to a dicky tummy!
June 2017 – the action so far. . .
So far this month it’s been business as usual for the hogs in our street.
Here are a selection of snippets captured on camera so far. . . .
Tired Hedgehog
It’s hard work being a hedgehog. Very tiring, according to this one! 😀
Hedgehog in technicolor
A rare glimpse of one of our hedgehogs, in colour! 🙂
Housekeeping Hedgehog
After moving 12b to a new position in the garden we decided to clean out the old bedding so that the hogs could have a fresh bed.
It appears that someone was quite pleased by this and decided to do a spot of nesting (as well as a lot of yawning!) 🙂
Let’s have a look at that roll again! :-)
Early to Mid-May
We’ve had a busy month so far with plenty of footage to sieve through.
Here is a montage of clips from early to mid-May. One of our hogs has a close encounter with an urban fox and we appear to have an scratchy hog who’s attempt to reach that elusive itch leads to some amusing roly-poly action. . . . . .
By the way, if you have sound turned on you’ll be able to also catch the sound of our resident owl 🙂
Hedgehog Awareness Week 2017
End of April 2017
As we approach the end of April and the end of the first month of Hedgehog action in 2017 we’ve seen a lot going on. The hogs can be regularily seen at dusk, when it is still relatively light outside. Aparently hedgehogs hate rain? Well I can’t imaging they like hailstones all that much either and we’ve had plenty of those recently. . . .
